Golden Griffon at WC3 Downriver

Even with all the pouring rain here, last night, we had an audience of about 25 at Heinz C. Prechter Educational and Performing Arts Center, Wayne County Community College Downriver (Golden Griffon at WCCC).

We had a wonderful time talking about the history of our instruments and the music we play, and shared several tunes. The guests particularly enjoyed the holiday tunes.

Now we're ready for Friday for playing at the historic Samuel Kingsley house in Romulus, on Hunt Street. We'll play from about 5 until about 6 when Santa arrives, probably chauffeured by fire truck. This isn't much time, but we'll love playing all of the holiday tunes, and getting everyone into the spirit!

The News Herald ran a story about the event on November 19 (http://bit.ly/Romulus). We're mentioned in the article as "volunteerism of community members". Loretta grew up in Romulus, so we appreciate being able to participate here.

Tommy says that his performance in the Huron High School Drama Club's play "A Christmas Carol" will also be brief -- maybe one partial holiday tune on the fiddle. But it's still so exciting. The play will be in the Huron Civic Auditorium Friday night (12/2) at 7 and Saturday (12/3) at noon.
